  • Trip receipt

    Your RideIn account includes a trip history of every ride you’ve taken. To review:
    1. Select “Trip History” from the app menu.
    2. Select a past trip.
    3. You can review the trip’s route, pickup location and destination.
    4. For a full breakdown of your fare, tap Receipt.
    We do not have recurring charges or membership fees.

  • Tipping the driver

    Tipping the driver is currently not supported through the app. We do not encourage the riders to tip the drivers.

  • Fare calculation

    With upfront pricing, you know the exact cost of your trip before requesting. This fare includes (but is not limited to) a base rate, and rates for estimated time and distance of the route. A booking fee and any applicable surcharges, fees, and tolls are also calculated and included.You’ll always receive a receipt for any trip fare.

  • Rating a driver

    At the end of each trip, you’ll be invited to rate your driver from 1 to 5 stars.Ratings help to ensure quality on the RideIn platform. With the intention of supporting a safe and respectful environment for riders and drivers, we review this feedback regularly

  • Android help

    You can download and install the RideIn rider app on Android devices with operating system 5.0 and newer. Head to the Google Play store and follow these steps:

    1. Tap the Google Play icon.
    2. Tap the search bar, type RideIn, then tap Search.
    3. Select the RideIn icon and tap INSTALL.
    4. After app installation is complete, tap OPEN.
    5. In the RideIn app, tap SIGN IN if you have an account or tap REGISTER to create one.

  • IOS help

    You can download and install the RideIn rider app on devices with iOS. Using your mobile device, tap the App Store icon and follow these steps:

    1. Select Search from the menu, type RideIn Canada in the search bar, then tap Search.
    2. Select the RideIn icon.
    3. Tap INSTALL. Your device may require you to enter your App Store password.
    4. When downloading and installation is complete, INSTALL will change to OPEN.
    6. In the RideIn app, tap SIGN IN if you have an account or tap REGISTER to create

  • I faced an issue during my RideIn ride. How can I raise a complaint?

    You can report any issue such as Billing /Payment issue or any Driver related issue during the trip through your RideIn app and we will try to resolve it instantly.

    All you need to do is-

    –  From My Rides section in your RideIn app menu, select the ride on which you faced the issue.
    –  The details of the ride selected will be displayed on the screen. Next, click on the  Support button.
    –  In Choose an Issue, select the issue you faced on your ride such as Billing/Payment Related Issue or Driver Related Issue
    –  Provide us the details or choose from the options and our team will try to resolve it for you.

  • How to report any lost items ?

    Please call up our admin office(18668151110) to report any lost items quoting the trip ID.

  • Unknown charges/Account hacking

    If you think your account is hacked, please call the admin(1866815110) and inform of any unknown charges. Please update your password immediately.

  • Payment options

    Adding and selecting a preferred payment method will allow you to request a ride. You can add payment methods such as credit cards, cash, and debit cards. When a ride ends, your selected payment method is charged. To add a payment method:
    1. Select “Payment” from your app menu.
    2. Tap Add Card
    3. Add a payment method by manually entering card info

  • Paying in Cash

    You can opt to pay by Cash for your RideIn ride. All you need to do is to select your payment option as Cash from Pick a payment option before you confirm a booking.

  • Cancelling a RideIn ride

    You can cancel a trip at any time before or after you’ve been matched with a driver. To cancel before you are matched with a driver:
    1. Tap and hold the (X) at the bottom of your screen
    3. You’ll be asked to confirm. Tap “Yes” or “No”
    4. A cancellation fee may apply
    Once a trip has started, you can end it by notifying your driver that you’d like to be dropped off. The driver will end the trip for you. If you accidentally cancel a trip while en route to your destination, your driver can still take you to your destination.

  • Contacting my driver

    RideIn allows you to contact your driver without revealing your phone number by placing your call through a masking number that is unique to your trip. To contact a driver before you’ve been picked up, tap the driver’s name to see contact options. Note that you can only place a call through your app with a phone that has the number registered to your RideIn account. If you switch phone numbers, be sure to update your account info. When you call or text, drivers will not see your personal phone number. Instead, they’ll receive a call or text message from a unique, anonymous local number. This anonymized number may change. If a driver saves this number and tries to use it later to contact you, the call won’t connect.

  • Setting pick up location

    The rider app uses GPS to determine and suggest an ideal pickup location nearby. If you need to edit your pickup location:
    1. Enter your destination and select a vehicle option.
    2. Before you tap REQUEST, tap the white box with your pickup address on the map. The pickup address will be your address based on GPS.
    3. An edit screen will pop up. You can edit your pickup address before requesting.

  • Type of vehicle option

    1. Tap the destination box to enter your destination. After you set your destination, your ride menu at the bottom of the app screen slides up to display vehicle options available in your city.
    2. Swipe left and right to view different vehicle option categories that provide more detail.
    3. Scroll to the right to see more options and swipe up to see more details on the ride and the fares.
    – Sedan (4 seater/5 seater options)
    – Taxi
    – SUV (5+ seat options)

  • Requesting a specific driver

    Currently, we cannot match you with a specific driver.

  • Scheduling a ride in advance

    A ride can be scheduled 1hour to 10 days in advance.

  • Requesting more than one vehicle

    Currently, only one vehicle can be requested for the current trip from one account. If you are traveling as a group, ask your friends to download the app and get promotional discounts when they download the app with your code.

  • RideIn availability

    RideIn is available currently in the GTA. Please follow us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to get updates about new locations around GTA.

  • Getting a fare estimate

    Fare estimates are displayed directly below each vehicle option. These estimates do not include any promotions that are active on your account. We do not follow dynamic pricing, so the fare that is given as an estimate will be the final fare, no matter what the circumstances are.

  • How to request a ride

    1. Enter your destination address in the “Drop off” box, or tap “stored destination address (Home/Work)”. Shortcuts include recent destinations from your ride history.
    2. Your default pickup location is set to your current GPS location. If you are not being picked up at your current location, type your pickup location on the map and update the address or drag the pin and drop it at your pickup location.
    3. Tap “Book Now”
    4. Select the type of vehicle you would like and the payment method. The default payment method will be the method you choose when you tap on “$$CASH”. You may be asked to confirm your pickup location.
    5. Wait for a driver to accept your request.
    6. When your request has been accepted, you’ll see your driver’s location on your map and an estimated time of arrival at your pickup location
    7. Your app will notify you when your driver is at your pickup location

  • Error adding payment method

    Try removing the payment method from your RideIn account. Add it again, making sure all information is correct.

  • Creating RideIn account

    Creating an RideIn account requires a valid email address and phone number. You can also use your Facebook ID to login to the RideIn app. Fill in your first and last name, and phone number.Once you complete this part of the signup process, we send a text SMS to verify your phone number. Next, enter your payment information. Adding a credit card or debit card number allows your trip fares to be automatically charged after each ride. Please note that we cannot accept prepaid cards. After you provide this info, we’ll send an email to confirm your account registration. Once you confirm, you’ll be able to use your app to request a ride.

  • Identifying vehicle and driver

    When you request a ride, your app sends your request to nearby drivers. After you’re matched with a driver, your app shares info about the vehicle and driver headed to your pickup location. Tap the bar that includes the driver’s name, photo, and vehicle. This displays a photo of your driver along with the vehicle’s make, model, and license plate number. When you see your driver’s vehicle at your pickup location, confirm that the license plate number displayed in your app matches the actual vehicle.
